What to Expect at Your Massage

Clients will relax in a quiet, comfortable and clean environment. We will briefly discuss your needs and injuries and then I will leave the room to prepare for your treatment while you undress to any degree that you are comfortable with. You will lie down on a clean massage table under covers and then I will reenter the room.  I will always keep you appropriately draped with sheets and blankets, uncovering only the areas I am massaging throughout your treatment.

It is important to keep in mind that this is your massage
:   I will work at a depth of pressure which is comfortable for you and respond to your feedback to ensure that you are comfortable. I will use a combination of massage styles including Swedish, Deep Tissue and stretching unless instructed otherwise. Massage oil is used to keep your reduce friction and stress on your skin.

Types of Massage

Swedish Massage
Firm, yet calming pressure that increases circulation, eases muscle tension and improves flexibility

Deep Tissue Massage
To relieve severe tension in muscle and the connective tissue. The Focus is on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. Recommended for clients who suffer from consistent pain or are involved in heavy physical activity like athletes.

Pre-Natal Massage
Nurturing for the mother-to-be, this work relieves the physical stress of her changing body and hormones and provides a meditative space in which to attune with her child. Can be deep or light depending on her need. Usually side-lying supported by pillows or on one's back.

Hot Stone Massage
deeply soothing massage using warm Basalt stones. The warmth and weight of the stones penetrate into the muscles to release tightness, ease aches and soothe away stress

Dual Massage
A soothing experience for two! Clients will be treated at the same time but in separate rooms and each with their own RMT. This session will require a coordination of schedules so please call to make an appointment.
